Update: ’We need everything’: Soup kitchen asking for volunteers paper goods

Boy Scout Troop 241 will be collecting items for The Soup Kitchen of Boynton Beach from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11 at Imagine Schools Chancellor Campus, 3333 High Ridge Road, Boynton Beach. Drop off items at the field entrance on Imagine Way. To keep with social distancing measures, there will only be one volunteer handling the items collected. Drop off all goods in a box or bags. Items being collected are diapers, wipes, baby food items; spices, complete seasoning, bay leaves, pepper, garlic, turmeric, cumin, 25 pounds of salt, parboil rice; and disposables latex gloves.

In 2018, Paul Lindley stepped away from Ella's Kitchen, the organic baby food brand he started and named after his daughter, to become a champion of children's nutrition and welfare internationally. After selling the brand in 2013 to Hain Celestial, seven years after founding it, he knew there were other challenges to face.
